Not for all people in spain was the weekend relaxing. I don’t know if you have seen it on the news already? But the weather was terrible in some eastern parts of the country. Especially in Mallorca the weather was crazy, very heavy and extreme floods, caused unfortunately that 13 people died. The days after there was a big cleaning-up operation, and Rafael Nadal helped all he could. It was a very sad day on the beautiful island, and we want to give our sincere condolences to the relatives of the deceased and injured by the severe floods.
There were also heavy floods in the province of Castellón, lots of homes were flooded and more than 2 dozen of people had to be rescued from their cars. It was a crazy weekend for the firefighters and all other the auxiliaries.
Also, in Malaga and Ronda there were very heavy floods. Maybe you've noticed that, all the trains and busses were canceled because the roads were full with water. Unfortunately, also in these cities were many people injured. In Granada there were orange alerts and in Malaga,Valencia,Murcia etc. RED alerts. All by all, it has been a crazy weekend for all Spain.
As you can see, Spain is not only a sunny holiday destination as we think, hopefully this doesn’t happen again anytime soon or ever…
Hope you are all okay and that you don’t ever have to worry about things like this. Have a good week!
